Use the email on your utility account if you can — it prefills the authorization form and saves you typing it again. You can change it later either way.

The only part that takes real effort is signing in to your utility, and you do that on their website — not ours.

Authorize your utility
You approve access on your utility's own site. We never see your password.
We hand you off to UtilityAPI, a licensed Green Button intermediary. You sign in with your utility directly and approve exactly which accounts to share. Your credentials go to your utility and nowhere else — we receive only the authorization, never the login.

Get your data back
Up to 24 months of bills and 15-minute interval usage, analyzed.
Collection usually finishes in a few minutes, though some utilities take longer. We email you the moment it is ready. From then on we keep it current automatically as new bills post.
Under the hood
What actually happens when you click authorize.
- We create an authorization request with UtilityAPI and redirect you to their hosted form, prefilled with your email.
- You select your utility and sign in on your utility’s own site. That exchange is between you and them.
- You pick which accounts and meters to share, and approve. Your utility records the authorization under the Green Button / Share My Data program.
- You land back on your GrowPros dashboard. UtilityAPI begins collecting in the background.
- As bills and interval readings arrive, we normalize them, compute the aggregates, and email you when the first full set is ready.
- New bills are picked up automatically from then on. You never repeat this process unless the authorization expires.
